A very rare pair of Louis XVI ormolu-mounted Chinese Quianlong porcelain (1736-1795)

As models of crane birds, each with plumage rendered in a very naturalistic way with white, black, yellow and red crest that are typical of these animals, resting on a green lawn base, decorated with mushrooms, flowers and tree trunk in various colours above an oval Paris ormolu Louis XVI base.

A very important pair of empire ormolu and patinated bronze four-light candelabra. Four others identical examples are still in the throne room in St.James Palace and they were bought directly to Thomire by George IV in Paris(RCIN 11853).
